We are so intrigued by the wonders of our world – cultures, people, history, geology and natural beauty. While loving our professions in education, we would dream of traveling, the next vacation, the next place to learn about. But we didn’t just want to be tourists, we wanted to really get to know a place, to become part of other cultures and lands in a deeper way than one usually can. We thought that adventure might come in retirement time, and those eagerly saved for long summer holidays every few years.
What an amazing surprise when we learned that the jobs we loved existed in an international arena! Many years ago now, we sold our house and most of our stuff and headed off as global citizens, taking on new professional positions in different countries and exploring the world.
We’ve had wonderful adventures in West and Central Africa, Europe, and Asia. We feel very, very blessed to have the gift of this life! We hope you will enjoy sharing some of our experiences with us through the photos here.
